When we compare ourselves with others what are we doing? Are we glorifying God? Are we edifying the other person? No, we are thinking about ourselves. We then either beat ourselves up or we pat ourselves on our backs. Either direction we are thinking of "ourselves".

Am I saying that this was a stupid choice and I missed God?

“Mom, my friend asked why we were saying we were going to this nation when we didn’t have any money yet to go. I told her we are missionaries and we go where God guides knowing He will come through with the finances.”
